Efficient and high quality quality execution.
Providing IT as an enabler of achieving business objectives.

Providing future direction and ownership is a key dimension of our ability to manage mission critical applications and software products for our clients. We strongly believe in future-proofing the software we develop so it can meet the changing requirements of our clients with minimal effort in the future. We have a transition planning processes in place to smoothly handle transfer of work responsibility and function in a business-as-usual scenario. To read more about our transition planning process, see below.
Open Source

We are big proponents and users of open source software. In fact, we use a lot of open source technologies in our work with clients as well as for ourselves. This site and its sister site Xatori.com are both based on open source technologies such as Java/J2EE, MySql, jQuery, Apache Tomcat, log4j, etc. And we are not alone - industry titans such as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Google have all embraced open source with open arms. We may not be as big as them, but we are proud to be a part of all that is open source. Philosophically, we are more LGPL than GPL, since we believe that if you are giving something, you should give without "wanting" anything in return. There are a host of advantages open source offers; not the least of which is that it allows start-up organizations like us to develop our own software using the plethora of open source tools that are out there. Companies like us could not exist without open source.

Some of the advantages that open source offers, in our view:

No vendor lock-in
Free exchange of ideas and code leading to more robust software
Quick identification of flaws in software due to huge developer and testing base
More productive allocation of resources since they are spent in improving a piece of software, rather than building it from scratch
Development speed increases manifold due to the strong online community support
A fertile base for budding software engineers.

Transition Planning
We recognize that the success of any software development project depends on how services are transitioned. Therefore, we ensure that the transition goes smoothly, with no disruption to service delivery in a way that is transparent to our client and its end users.

The primary goal of the transition phase is to synthesize our team into the client program, to do any and all knowledge transfer, and to position our team in such a way that they are self-sufficient. This allows the client to release the existing onsite resources from their current duties and re-allocate them as needed.

The overall activities in the transition phase are:
Creation of detailed plan for the transition phase.
Communicating the plan, roles and responsibilities to the team.
Agreeing on service parameters (service levels and reporting requirements).
Knowledge transfer through creating a technical and maintenance plan.
Infrastructure set-up.
Personnel transition.
